TRIBHUVAN-KAILASH CLOSE TODAY

It is curtains down for two prestigious theatres Tribhuvan and Kailash behind Green House Raj Milan. Kannada cinema industry becomes further weak with these two theatres closing down from today.

The last Kannada film to screen in Tribhuvan was ‘Soda Buddi’ and it was ‘Lal Rang’ running in this theatre as the last show. In Kailash theatre the screening was ‘Last Bus’ as last show. On Thursday night show these two theatres also big good bye to 40 plus employees.

The multiplex coming up at this place is the assurance given as on today. The multiplex activity starts from Friday according to sources.

In 1974 ‘Tribhuvan’ evolved and it was Srinivasa Kalyanan of Dr Rajakumar film as first release. In Kailash theatre it was Sanjeev Kumar ‘Andhi’ the first Hindi film to screen in this mini theatre

Off late the online booking facility at this theatre supported films like First Rank Raju and Rangi Taranga. Both the films did well at this theatre.

After 42 years the huge building of Tribhuvan and Kailash is getting razed.
